The Quilts From Great-Aunt Helen..."Don't forget the great part!"
Madi's State Capitol Quilt
Madilyn is soon to be the state capitol wiz!! She likes to lay in bed and learn all the states and their capitols. Great idea. She's already looking forward to taking it to show her class. If they earn enough marbles in the jar at school.....Mrs. Marble lets them have a class party that they have to vote on. Madi said she is going to vote for the reading party because you get to bring your own blanket to lay on and read books all day...all day? She wants to take her state capitol blanket....How Cute!!

Pleasant surprise
In the picture below.....Emma taking a picture of Uncle Jake taking a picture of her. She's quite the photographer.
What an eventful week!
On Monday Aunt Helen came down to visit us from McCall. She brought the kids quilts that she made and some giant snickerdoodles and other little surprises. We of course were so happy to see her and we loved the quilts! She is so creative. Helen took the girls to Target and bought Madi some jeans and Emma a shirt. Then they went to Michael's and they came back with a craft. In this picture Helen is helping the girls make little doorhangers. Later that evening Helen took us to dinner at Applebees and she filled up the van with gas. What a treat!! To bad Ryan couldn't make it to dinner....He had to work. Imagine that! He had to eat my leftovers. Poor guy! It was such a fun day. The girls were sad to see her go, especially Emma. She was so worried about her because when she left it was a little windy and Emma felt bad that she had to drive in the wind by herself. She was also worried we would never see her again because she was going back to Arizona and she really wanted her to come to her birthday in October. :( I reassured her we would see her again soon. She was oh so sad. She had tears streaming down her dimpled cheeks.

Back-to-school....well almost!
So we are all back from our little excursions. Ryan has been on a couple of trips lately. He went to Arizona for some training and soon after that he went to pocatello to train a couple of guys out there. He's also been to Oregon but that doesn't really count because it's only about 30 minutes from here. The kids and I went to Logan to help give my little sister a baby shower and attend my sister-in-laws baby shower. I am so excited to finally be an Aunt!! The kids are excited at the idea of having little cousins to play with or because of the age difference......babysit:) Madi, Emma and Cody stayed in Logan a few extra days while I came home to try and get organized. Ryan and I went to dinner one night and were planning on seeing the dark knight but when we sat down in the theatre they started to play wall-e. They were trying to fix the malfunction but it was taking to long and it was to late so we left with 4 free movie passes. Ohwell. At least we got some free passes. Ryan was kinda irritated because he really wanted to see his movie. Who knows when we'll get the chance again......hmmm......maybe I'll take the kids to see that new 3-d movie coming out on Friday. Well it's good to have my babes back. They were only gone a couple of days but we missed them a lot!!!

We miss you....Already!!!
Hey Madi and Emma what does this sign say? The drive back home was really long and boring without you guys. Actually it was shorter but still boring, that's for sure. Our song came on and I sang it as loud as I could...."I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY, I'M IN LOVE WITH YOU..." You know the rest! When I got home June ran to me like she had not seen me in years and then she followed me around the house the rest of the night. I think she was afraid I was going to leave again. She even climbed up on my shoulder like she used to. (she used to could do it):) Dad I'm pretty sure missed me to. He can't wait to see you guys. I was showing him the pictures that I took when I was there and I'm pretty sure I saw a tear. You should see the garden. It's amazing what 5 days can do. Dad picked some enormous zuccini and some cucumbers and tomatoes that tasted like candy. I'll post some pictures of the garden veggies tomorrow along with the picture of June-buggies that I promised Emma. Check back tomorrow around dinner. Be ever so good and mind your manners. " I love to mind my manners Cody." We miss you and love you. Whatever you do don't have to much fun. See ya in a few days. Call me.
Love,
Mom
