Emma's Birthday....5 years old

Pixie Hollow book from Grandma and Grandpa Waldron
Just what she wanted!!

Halloween Party at preschool (sorry a little out of order)

Fun rings from on top of cupcakes

Emma wanted strawberry shortcake rainbow cupcakes. Just a side note....This morning Emma drew a picture of me crying and a picture of her turning 5. I said why am I crying? She said, because I'm turning 5. I'm growing up to fast.

Emma helping Cody have a taste of rootbeer float at her preschool halloween party. Her teachers were so nice to involve Cody. He fit right in. He ran around outside with the big boys. He acted like he owned the place. I was surprised how comfortable he was. I bet next time I drop Emma off he's going to want to stay.

Guess Who!!!

Attention

For less than a dollar a day you can sponser either child. :)

Oct 23rd....1999

Today Ryan and I celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. I remember some parts clearly and other parts of the day are a blur. It was the perfect fall day. As I walked in the front doors of the L.A. temple I was so excited but I have to say I was quite calm. The brides dressing room was beautiful and angelic. I felt like a queen. I very calmly slipped into my wedding gown and my mom helped me put on my veil. ( the other bride in there was a little stressed, to say the least.)I'll never forget the look on Ryan's face as I walked down the spiral staircase to meet him. He was so sweet! We took the elevator up to the sealing room. At the moment I can't remember the name of the man who married us, Ryan will have to remind me. We chose to have a white wedding. It was so awesome to see all our friends and family there to support us. The spirit was so sweet. The ceremony is somewhat a blur. I was told by some friends that it was one of the best ceremonies they had been to. I wish I would've written everthing down. I know we were given some excellent advice. The reception was beautiful. It was perfect weather. The moon was huge!! It was a full moon that night. Ryan and I danced to crazy love by van morrison. I could go on and on about what an amazing night it was. I am so glad I married Ryan. He is the love of my life. He makes me laugh everyday...whether he means to or not :) He is just so kind and compassionate. Happy Anniversary Ryan!! I love You!! Lets go to Hawaii for our 10th. (sorry no picture for this post. We definately need a scanner and some more pictures together) If you where there, what do you remember about our wedding day?

Emma's a little teapot

Trip to Maryland

Last week I took the trek back east to visit Krystal and Shawn and meet my new neice, Victoria Rose. I had such a good time. Krystal is such a great mom. It was fun to watch her as a new Mother. Tori is just a sweet as can be. She is so beautiful....perfect in every way.

Here I am with the "little Monkey"

We walked around D.C. all day Saturday. There was so much to see. We didn't even put a dent in the city. What we did see was amazing. You could just feel the history. Here is the Capitol.

This was our last stop. I was dying to see the white house but I had a monstrous pounding headache and Victoria had, had it. So we walked over 20 blocks back to the car.

Lincoln Memorial

Washington Monument

Front of Lincoln Memorial

The Mom Sisters. One looks a lot more like a mom than the other one!! We also saw the vietnam memorial and we went to the Smithsonian but we could only handle about 20 minutes because it was packed so it was nearly impossible to enjoy. All and all we had a good time Victoria was a good sport. She has seen and done a lot in her short life.

After School Bike Ride

Big Sister....Little Sister. Best friends Forever!! So Cute.

Emma giving Cody a helping hand.

Cody taking a drink of my Coke. He does this all the time. He thinks he's so sneaky.

Oh Cody!!! Such a big Boy!

Cody was riding around with a dead praying mantis in tote. Of course Madi put it in the back of his ride. Every time he would tip over he would pick up the bug and put it back in the little compartment like it was no big deal. Madi was trying to save it for her bug collection. Needless to say it was pretty mangled by the time they were done riding bikes.

I almost called 911

Today the kids were out back talking to their friends through the backyard fence. Apparently they were trading pieces of candy. Madilyn, Emma and Cody each had a minature bag of skittles and they were sharing with their friends. I was unaware of what they were trading for, or that they were trading at all for that matter. I was on the phone with Ryan and Madi came running in with a panic look on her face. She managed to whisper or gasp "jawbreaker" She was choking! I threw the phone down in a panic and started to pat her on the back. She wasn't coughing or anything. It was so scary. It was not going to budge. It was really stuck!! She even thew up a little and it still wasn't coming. I got behind her and did the heimlich manuever and to my amazement I heard a little plink on the floor. Madi gasped for air and finally was able to catch her breath before she started throwing up some more. I was going to give it about 5 more seconds and then I was going to call 911. This was all in a matter of 15-20 seconds....the scariest seconds of my life. I know that Heavenly Father was watching out for Madilyn. That jawbreaker was really lodged in there good. To me it is a miracle that she is okay. I told her how proud I was of her for coming inside and getting help and for trying to tell me what she was choking on. I aked her what she was thinking about when she was choking. She said she thought she was going to die. How scary for her. She has a sore throat but I am so glad she is okay. Emma was terrified also. She said she was glad it wasn't her :) She also ran out and told her friends to never give her sister a "law-breaker" again. I thought that was a good name for them. Jaw breakers should be against the law!! Madi didn't even know what it was. She thought it was chewy on the inside and Emma who spit hers out when she saw Madi choking, thought it was a gumball. I told Madi and Emma to always ask before they eat something that someone gives them. Madilyn colored a picture for me today of a horse galloping in the meadow and she wrote : Dear Mom, Thank you for saving my life. It made me smile. we both kinda laughed. I think I need to take a child CPR class, and hope I never have to use it. My faith was strenghened today.
