It's Great to Be 8

I cannot believe our little 5lb 3oz bundle of joy is now 8 years old!! She HAD to have a stuffed golden retriever. Like she doesn't have a bazillion stuffed animals already.
She opened lots of fun stuff. She has a new bike on the way. UPS is behind schedule I guess. She insisted on a bike with a basket so she could put her puppy in it.

Happy Birthday Madilyn Dear.....

Make a wish!!!

Kissable

Preston is growing at record speed. I swear everyday he looks different to me. Check out those cheeks. So squishy and kissable. I just can't get enough of him. As you can see he has lost half of his hair on top of his head. I noticed that when after I got him out of the bath the other day. It wasn't like that before I put him in. I think I scrubbed it off :)
Sleepy boy....with droopy eyes

So sweet

The famous Oakeson kid pose. My kids never liked to be swaddled to much. They like to

McCall

The kids and I took a little trip to McCall to visit Helen and Joe and we had the best time. The kids were in heaven. We can't wait to go back!! The 3 little fishermen.
Cody did not want to be troubled by picture taking

Madilyn actually caught a fish. She was so happy!!

Oh, Cody. He was completely consumed with these army men. Nothing else mattered to him except finding these little guys that had washed up on shore and keeping them from his sisters. It's a good thing Helen bought him some to take home.

Ice skating was a hit with the kids. I could hardly watch. I was so nervous.

Look at his tiny skates. So cute. Cody was the best skater. He just took off because he has no fear!

Concentrate.

Emma was good to. She had her dance experience behind her. She left those buckets behind.

Madilyn caught on too. Look at her go.

Helen was great to take them out on the ice.

After the skate we had lunch with hot cocoa and then Helen took us to the pottery store so the kids could paint. They did really good.
We had so much fun. There was never a dull moment. It is such a beautiful place. The kids loved staying up late watching movies in bed and looking out at the sail boats and geese on the lake. There bed was right in front of the window so they felt like they were floating on the lake all night. We miss it already. Thanks Aunt Helen and Uncle Joe!!

My Ballerina

Emma was definately the "star" of the show. You would not believe the amount of compliments she received. She has natural talent, that's for sure!! (More pictures to come)
